Little Helpers

Sometimes the world does work in your favour and when it does it feels great.  I'm not talking about some great divine intervention that the world has brought to me but something much simpler.  Today we had a fairly lazy day here on the homestead, only doing chores that were necessary.  We went to a local organic farmers market to look into new ways to produce our garden and what seeds were available.  Then we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon watching a movie.  While my partner and I were watching it the wee ones were bouncing around and playing.

As they were playing they started to notice toys under the couch in the toy room.  Of course they then started asking us to get them for them and we of course said later, after the movie, etc.  So they went back to playing in the toy room and we went back to watching the movie.  I looked over to the toy room a few minutes later and saw that they had taken matters into their own hands and moved the couch themselves to get their toys.

This was something that has been on my list of things to do for about a month now and have never done it.  All I had left to do was sweep up and put the lost toys back where they belonged.  The wee ones were so excited coming to show us their toys that are now found!  It is great too because it is one more thing off my checklist of things to do.
